Dr. Santiago is the Center Chief IV and Scientist I of the Bureau of Animal Industry-National Swine and Poultry Research and Development Center in Lagalag, Tiaong, Quezon. 

He is a Veterinarian and accredited by the National Science and Technology-Scientific Career System as Scientist I. His research focused is on the production and management of native animals.
